Honesty is the best policy

I spotted a fiver next to a car, so I went to pick it up since it was obviously my lucky day. It became even luckier when I spotted a tenner next to it - then another - then another. Thirty five quid !!!!

The i started to feel guilty, I know if I lost £35 I'd be really stuck. 'What if its all the money some poor sod has till pay day?' My conscience won out and I headed back inside to reception who put a call out to the driver of the car I found the money next to and stuck the money in an envelope behind the till. "I must say this is extremely honest of you!"
"yeah well you know..."

I headed back out into the car park and took the same short cut between the same two parked cars and found another five pound note in exactly the same spot and a twenty under the wheel.
Now there's honest and there's stupid and I'm not stupid. So I stuck the £25 in my pocket and went home to a chorus of "You're mad! I would have kept it!"

But in the end Honesty won out. I went back this morning and no one had claimed the cash so they handed the envelope back to me with a smile and I took the money without the slightest pang of guilt.

I finally finished knitting the cardigan for Cosmic girls baby !

I think it turned out rather well considering it was my first time trying to make something that wasn't square or rectangular. I'm dead proud of myself !!!

I went to visit my aunt last night. After she mad me a cup of tea and her kids plonked one of the cats in my lap she proceeded to tell me of the very disturbing events regularly occurring in her garden.

Caramel the 8 month old ginger tom keeps trying to hump his brother Shadow. Caramel has always been the more aggressive of the two and did tend to bully his sibling but gay rape, WTF !!

But the scandal doesn't end there ! The black and white cat from a few doors down keeps trying to molest Shadow too! The poor thing can regularly be heard screaming in terror as he fights for his dignity in the garden.

I tried to convince Mother Earth that for Shadows safety he should come and live with us, far away form the bullying duo, but she was having none of it.

The poor thing.

British Rail

When JayJay aplied for the company season ticket loan scheme she asked for the cheque to be made out to British Rail.

She came in the next day minus a yearly travel card.

When she'd presented the cheque to the man at the ticket office he told her "We haven't accepted cheques made out to British Rail since 1978"

I've just had a really shit team meeting which turned into a brain storming SWOT analisys of the team. I couldn't think of a single inteligable thing to say. Head of Dept was not pleased with me.
